Nick wins Downbeat Award

Nick wins a 2007 Downbeat award for Best College Extended Composition for his piece “Les Touches de piano.” The June 2007 issue also features a animated photo of him performing on page 114.
The piece was performed by the NEC Jazz Composers’ Workshop Orchestra and featured solos from two other 2007 Downbeat award winners at NEC: Alex Brown (p) and Aaron Kruziki (al. sax).
